This AI Disclaimer explains how artificial intelligence is used on ProRacer.ai (the Platform), the limitations of AI-generated outputs, and the responsibilities of users who rely on them.
1. AI is central to the Platform
ProRacer uses AI models to analyse uploaded telemetry, race data, setup sheets, and other documents, and to produce insights, summaries, coaching observations, recommendations, and conversational answers. AI outputs may be generated in real time by large language models and other machine-learning systems.
2. AI outputs are informational only
All AI-generated content on the Platform is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not professional engineering advice, not a safety certification, not a medical or fitness assessment, and not a guarantee of performance.
3. Known limitations of AI
AI models are probabilistic. They can produce content that is:
— Incorrect, inaccurate, or factually wrong
— Out of date, including with respect to current rules, regulations, or track conditions
— Incomplete or missing relevant context
— Inconsistent across runs even for similar inputs
— Confidently stated despite being wrong (sometimes called "hallucination")
— Biased by the data the model was trained on
You should always validate AI outputs against trusted sources, qualified engineers or coaches, and your own judgement before acting on them.
4. No guarantee of race performance, safety, or results
ProRacer makes no warranty, representation, or guarantee that use of the Platform or its AI-generated outputs will:
— Improve lap times, race results, championship outcomes, or competitive standing
— Reveal every issue, risk, or fault in your car, setup, or driving
— Be safe to act on in any specific track, weather, or vehicle condition
— Match the accuracy or rigour of a qualified human race engineer, data engineer, coach, or mechanic
— Comply with the rules of any particular championship, series, sanctioning body, or scrutineer
5. Motorsport safety
Motorsport is inherently dangerous. AI-generated insights, setup recommendations, coaching tips, or strategic suggestions must never be treated as a substitute for:
— Qualified race engineers, data engineers, and mechanics
— Licensed driver coaches and trained instructors
— Scrutineering, safety inspections, and sanctioning-body approvals
— Manufacturer specifications and service requirements
— Your own trained judgement on track
Do not act on any AI recommendation that you do not understand or that conflicts with qualified human advice. If in doubt, do not proceed.
6. Your responsibility as the user
By using AI features on the Platform, you agree that you:
— Are solely responsible for evaluating AI outputs before acting on them
— Will not rely on AI outputs for safety-critical, regulatory, or medical decisions
— Will validate insights with qualified humans where the stakes warrant it
— Will not present AI outputs as the work of a qualified engineer, coach, or licensed professional
— Accept that the Platform is an assistant and not a replacement for human expertise
7. Data used by AI features
AI features may process data that you upload to the Platform (including telemetry, documents, and notes) and data from your chat history to produce more personalised, context-aware outputs. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how data is handled.
8. Third-party AI providers
Some AI features are powered by third-party AI providers. We take reasonable steps to select providers with appropriate data-handling controls, but ProRacer does not control the underlying models or their training data and is not responsible for issues that arise from those models.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProRacer is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost, or expense arising from your reliance on, or use of, any AI-generated output on the Platform. Nothing in this disclaimer limits any non-excludable rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Changes to this disclaimer
We may update this AI Disclaimer from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated disclaimer.
